This grass is quite a statement in the garden, growing 4 to 6 feet in height and width, with yellow horizontal striping across the long leaves. In the fall reddish fan shaped flowering seed heads are striking, great for cut foliage and dried seed heads. Give this grass some space, as over a few years it will grow to its full potential. Full sun is terrific but even in half day shade it performs well. This is a great specimen for screening and for big borders.
