Echium fastuosum | Pride of Madeira

Native to the Mediterranean. A wonderful showy drought tolerant evergreen perennial that mixes well with very drought tolerant Agaves, South African and Australian natives. Grows 4 to 6 feet tall and as wide, with long, slender grey green leaves. Flower spikes in late spring are a muted blue - purple, very long lasting in the garden.

 

Grow in full sun, with excellent drainage.
